Related pediatric light-therapy research examining laser acupuncture in children with autism—not transcranial PBM.
What to keep in mind
Laser acupuncture and transcranial PBM are different interventions. This small study used a no-laser comparison rather than a sham laser treatment; expectations and other factors may influence results. It must not be used as direct evidence for transcranial PBM safety or effectiveness.
Research information is not a prescription. Long-term pediatric transcranial PBM safety is not established by these studies; adult evidence is not a substitute for pediatric evidence. Use only under qualified clinical guidance, with device-specific safety review.
